The Bean on Mesquite was built on a simple premise: coffee should be taken seriously, and pastries should be made by hand. We source green beans from farms that treat their land and their people well, then roast every batch in small quantities right here in Las Cruces.
Our café sits on North Mesquite Street — a block where locals know us by name and where the morning line moves with purpose, not rush. We hold space for conversation, for reading, for getting things done. It's a working café first and a destination second.
Everything we serve is made or roasted in-house. If it's on the menu, it passed a standard we set for ourselves — and we revise that standard every time we roast a new lot.
